It was a simple idea, really.
Lenair (Dinero) Young and Ron Kelley, two coaches from Brooklyn, would put on a series of clinics aimed at junior high school basketball players. They would teach ballhandling and boxing out, and other facets of the game.
Once the four-day camp - scheduled to begin Monday and run through Thursday at Nazareth HS in Brooklyn - was over, they would reserve a gym in which they could train players on a long-term basis during the school year. Trainers are akin to academic tutors in that they work with players, one on one, to help them improve.
